Development
We work closely with the local community from the renovation process to the running of the hotel. We have held a Halloween tour, wall painting, DIY workshops, etc. and have been strengthening our connection with other local players. The lobby is open not only for the guests but also the locals. The hallways and stairs are a place for the local artists and their gallery. The rooftop is a secret base for local creators…

We are Renovate Japan!
Kai, our founder and CEO, who worked as a researcher on local/social issues established Renovate Japan to tackle those issues from the practical side. Our innovative solution called “Tatenaoshi” aims to simultaneously renovate people’s lives, abandoned buildings, and the local society.

Our leader who can multitask from self-renovation to hotel management. He is a returnee from Canada and speaks English fluently.

Born in Nagano, studying in Niigata, working in Yaizu. She works on the design and community space management.

A post-entrepreneur who used to run a bakery and a bar. Driven by her curiosity, her adventure continues…

Amazing Seafood
As one of the most famous port towns in Japan, the seafood here is fantastic despite its low price. Yaizu’s capturing amount of Tuna and Bonito is at the top tier in Japan, and you can also eat raw Sakura Shrimps and Whitebaits.

【By Train/Shinkansen】
JR Tokai Shizuoka Station to Yaizu Station 4 minutes walk from Yaizu station (North exit) to the hotel.
【By car】
Exit the Tomei highway at the Yaizu interchange. 6 minute drive towards Yaizu station from there to the hotel.
We have two parking spots available. If they are occupied, please use the nearby parking lots (the fee is 300 yen per day at the lowest).
